1st Team V 2nd Team Friendly
Members of the 1st and 2nd Team squads gathered at Lingdale on Sunday 21st April for some early season matchplay practise. The sun was shining and the bluebells were in flower. After a long wet winter it's beginning to feel like the start of the golfing season! !st Team Captain Suzanne Pretty went out with the 2nd Team Captain Diana Miller. Caz Parkes-Walley, Vicky Mayfield, Tracy Bourne and Jo Morris-Bourne represented the 1st Team and Sarah Storer, Sally Jee, Lisa Porter and Georgia Mitchison represented the 2nd Team. The final score was a friendly half.
County Ladies v County Senior Men
Every year this match is played at the beginning of the season and is played at the same venue as the Ladies County Championship.
This year the match took place on Sunday 14th April at Scraptoft Golf Club, each side fielded a team of 12 players who played 4BBB match play.
There were some strong pairings and great matches, all games were played in good spirit and the final score was 4 - 2 to the County Senior Men.
Charnwood Forest - Start of Season
Charnwood Forest - Get Together
Sunday 3rd March was our start of season get together at Charnwood Forest. It was an opportunity for all squads to meet and mix up. The format for the day was a 3ball Am Am and each team contained one 1st team player, one 2nd team player and one Junior team player.
It was an enjoyable day for all with 20 women and girls in total playing. It was a great opportunity for all players to get together and form good relationships.
Congratulations to the winning group Gemma Parkes Walley (Lutterworth) Sarah Storer (Cosby) Edie Spires (Cosby) & Harriet Oulds (Cosby)
Range Night Forest Hill
On Friday 23rd February 2024 we had the first get together of the season on the range at Forest Hill GC. All the players from The County 1st Team, 2nd Team and Junior Teams were invited. This was a great opportunity for all the squads to get to know each other, practice, share knowledge, have fun and participate in some healthy competition.
