We had an early start at Rushcliffe, arriving at 8.00 am for bacon butties and coffee in readiness for our foursome matches.
The team of Kate Frankham, Lucy Garfield Fisher, Barbara Suffolk, Suzanne Pretty, Olivia Barrs and Clare Bailey were fortified and ready for battle. 

Alas apart from the half point brought in by Suzanne and Clare we were 21/2 to ½ down after the morning session.  But we all still felt confident going into the singles.

Kate and Lucy had very tough games, they played very well but things didn’t go their way on the day
Suzanne and Clare came in with big wins and Barbara won on the 17th so it was all down to young Olivia, who battled on and won 2 and 1.

The overall result was a draw, which for us was a tremendous result against a very strong Notts side.
