Firstly I must thank Kibworth for hosting the event. After all the rain we had over night I wasn't sure if the course would be open, but apart from a few puddles the green keepers had done a wonderful job and the club made us very welcome, thank you.

We started with the morning foursomes with Amy Taylor and Katie Underwood who had a 2 and 1 win, followed by Barbara Suffolk and Rachel East winning 6 and 5, bringing up the rear Suzanne Pretty and myself, alas losing 2 and 1, but going into the afternoon singles buoyed by the win.

The girls didn't let us down with great wins from Katie, Alice Watson, Rachel and Barbara, with Suzanne and myself being beaten by some very good Lincs players. Giving an overall win of 6 and 3.

Once again a great team effort, a wonderful win, now onwards next week for the return match at Blankney.
