Our third match of our summer campaign to get through to the Midland North finals saw us head just over the border to Stoke Rochford, and a very challenging course mainly due to the adverse weather conditions of this year. The bounce was proving especially difficult on some of the very hilly and undulating holes.

Our first pairing out of Sally Jee and Francesca Brimm bought in a great result of a win by 3 and 1, after Sally sunk a huge putt on the 17th for the birdie and the win.

Ella Cunningham and Mia Ashton, who was playing in her first County 2nd team match, had a difficult match and lost 6 and 4, and Chloe Edmonds and Diana Miller had a really close match but finished loosing by 3 and 1. So the morning result was 2 games to 1 to Lincs.

Francesca was first out in the afternoon, and went 2 up after 5, but Emma Wood fought back hard and they finished the match with a half. Next up was Ella, and she was 3 up after 5, which was partly due to her eagling the 4th hole Par 5. She continued to play extremely well and bought home a 2 and 1 win. Chloe wasn't happy with her morning performance and said that she had given herself a good talking too. Well it worked because after 3 birdies she came in with a 7 and 6 win.

Unfortunately Mia, Sally and Diana fell to a very strong Ljncolnshire team and were hugely dissappointed but they all gave their best and it just wasn't their day.

So the result was a 5 1/2 to 3 1/2 win to Lincolnshire.
