Match Report

Firstly can I thank Lingdale Golf Club for hosting the event and providing great facilities, catering and weather !!!

This was always going to a tough match as the winning team would go through to the area finals.

After the morning foursomes it was a tied match 1 1/2 to 1 1/2 and all to play for in the afternoon.

The games were all very close swinging one way then the other, with both captains racing around the course trying to keep score.

But in the end it was Notts that took the match winning 5 1/2 to 3 1/2.

I mush thank Amy Taylor, Emily Anthony, Katie Underwood, Oivia Barrs, Rachel East, Clare Bailey and Lucy Garfield Fisher for playing great golf and fighting until the last putt, you are a credit to your county.

Congratulations to Amy Taylor who was awarded her county colours.

Also many thanks to our President Lynda who supported us through this and our previous matches.

May I wish Pam and her team good luck in the finals and look out for us next year!

Finally many many thanks to all the girls who played this year including the ones I had to call up the the very last minute to stand in.

It was close girls but hopefully closer next year.
