The Annual Regional Festival of Girls' Golf was held at Branston Golf & Country Club on Monday August 18th.
120 girls from 6 Counties in our Region - Midlands North came together for this great event.
At the event the girls played their final League Matches of the year, Scratch & Handicap.
There was also 9 hole competitions for girls with & without handicaps, plus some fun activities including Chipping & Putting Challenges and an amazing 18 hole Crazy Golf!
In the matches, L&R played Shrops in both Scratch & Handicap Leagues. L&R secured a brilliant win in the Scratch match thanks to their team players
Edie Speirs, Ella Cunningham, Lucy Wheeler, Karen Johal & Mia Ashton.
In the Handicap match L&R were playing for 1st or 2nd place against Shropshire!
In a nail-biting 18 hole match, L&R were victorious and took the Handicap Trophy for 2025!
The team on the day consisted of Megan Grimwood, Harriet Oulds, Freya Evans, Edith taunton & Nicole Parsons.
Well done girls - stunning performance!
Other girls who represented their County for the first time in the 9 hole events were Sienna Sheard, Chloe Wood, Chloe Henderson, Alice Zawadzka, Sia Khoda,
Isabelle Anderson, Isabelle Cumbley, Isla Furner & Emma-Clare Woulidge.
The day ended with a meal & presentations. It was wonderful to see so many girl golfers in one place at one time, making friends, enjoying their sport and having fun!
To bring home some silver-ware was a real bonus!
