Thirty nine players from across the region took to the fairways at Coxmoor GC on August 22nd for the MNR Queen of Clubs competition.
After a benign start to the round the wind, and for the later starters, torrential rain, made for a challenging day.
The course was in great condition despite the recent dry weather and the winner of the competition with an excellent gross score of 73 was
Carolyn Parkes-Walley, Lutterworth GC.
2nd to 5th gross prize winners were:
- Ava Waplington, Coxmoor GC (77),
- Carol Wild representing Longcliffe GC (78 on countback),
- Tracy Bourne, Willesley Park GC, (78 on countback)
- Emily Horsted, Belton Park GC (78).
Alexandra Nisbet, Burghley Park GC and Sue Borthwick, Market Rasen GC, with scores of 71 and 73 respectively, won the net prizes.
