The LRLCGA County Shield was held at Longcliffe Golf Club on a warm sunny day. 
Twelve teams battled for the Silver Division Shield and nineteen teams for the
Bronze Division Shield. 
 
The winners of the Silver Shield were Longcliffe Golf club who were represented by
Gabriella Crowfoot, Carol Wild and Scarlett Stevenson with a  winning score of 234.
The runners up were Willesley Park Golf Club represented by Jo Morris-Bourne,
Tracy Bourne and Eleanor Parkinson with a score of 236.
 
The winners of the Bronze Shield were The Leicestershire Golf Club represented by
Katherine Bailey, Claudia Hamilton and Choon Jackson with a winning score of 211.
The runners up of the Bronze Shield were Ullesthorpe Court Golf Club represented

by Chris Bown, Val Holbrook and Tina Jardim with a score of 216.
 
The best Gross score and winner of the Ellis Trophy with a gross of 77 was Gabriella
Crowfoot of Longcliffe Golf Club.
 
The best Nett score and winner of the Vincent Trophy was Chris Bown of Ullesthorpe
Court Golf Club with a nett score of 60
 
The winner of the best individual nett in the scratch competition was Annette
O’Meara of Charnwood Forest Golf Club with a nett 69
 
The winner of best individual gross score in the Handicap division was Angela
Glover of Luffenham Heath Golf Club with a gross score of 94
* please note players can only win one individual prizes
 
The matches were played in great spirit on a challenging course with some great
individual scores. 
 
Past President Alison Horak thanked Longcliffe  Golf Club for hosting the event, the Lady
Captain Jane Ackling for all her help and Cate Alexander from Rothley Park Golf
Club who ran the event on behalf of the County Association.
