We are delighted to share the wonderful news that Leicestershire and Rutland Ladies County Golf Association has been shortlisted as a finalist for County of the Year at the England Golf Awards 2026.

This prestigious national award recognises counties that demonstrate outstanding support and engagement with their members and wider golfing community, provide inclusive and accessible playing opportunities for golfers of all abilities and support clubs through education and development initiatives. We are immensely proud that the work undertaken across L&RLCGA has been recognised at this level.

To be shortlisted alongside just two other counties, Cheshire and Essex, is a significant achievement and a testament to the collective efforts of our clubs, volunteers, players, and supporters.

Members of the Executive Committee will attend the awards evening on Tuesday 3rd March at the Deansgate Hotel, Manchester, representing our county on what promises to be a memorable occasion.

Congratulations also to Cosby Golf Club  on being a finalist in the' Women in Golf Charter Club' category and Luffenham Heath Golf Club on being a finalist in the 'Tournament Venue of the Year' category for hosting the Caris Cup respectively. We wish you all the luck on the night and we will be there to cheer you all on.
