The L&RLCGA 2016 Junior Girls' Championship was held at Lingdale on Sunday 3 July.  We were lucky to have a sunny day with no rain.  All of the girls enjoyed the day and taking part in this Championship.  

Ellie York (Hinckley) won the gross medal over 36 holes to become the County Junior Girls Champion and also to make the double after her Ladies County Championship win earlier in the year. Over the past  five years Ellie has been the U13, U15, and nett champion as well as being runner up to Imy Huxley in the overall County Junior Girls Championships for the last two years.. She now has a full house of all five titles.

Ellie scored 77,79 total 156 to win from Emily Dunne (Park Hill) who scored 78,91 to take the U15 title. Olivia Barrs (Lingdale)  was a stroke behind in third place on 170.

Under 13 winner over 18 holes was Holly Waterfield (Lutterworth) with 98 gross.

Nett Winner was Hannah Garner Stephens (Charnwood Forest) with a nett 71, with Kirsten Thorpe runner up on nett 74 on countback from Beth Swain (Ullesthorpe).

9 Hole Stableford Champion was Kerry Thorpe (Park Hill) with 14 points.
