County President’s Day 17th August at Cosby Golf Club
What a fabulous day – the sun shone and everyone had a great time.
Morning came and the sun rose and stayed all day. I was supported extremely well by everyone at Cosby and players and helpers alike contributed to making it such a special day for me. My thanks to County Captain Rachel and Cosby’s Lady Captain Suzanne for their unwavering support, together with so many lady members. Thank you all.
We had 88 come along and play a Better Ball Stableford and scoring was excellent – so many scores over 40 points – on a fast running course. I hear the greens were running well and everyone enjoyed their day – especially the Welcome they had from the girls at the registration desk (all decorated in County blue!), our starters and spotters, not forgetting the fabulous Half Way House (manned by Margaret Hanning and her happy band of helpers) The cakes were delicious and the Pimms/Elderflower Fizz seem to go down very well. Big thanks to our Competitions Secretary, Donna Canning and Treasurer Karen Bonser for working so hard to produce the results.
