Eleven-year old Eleanor Parkinson from Willesley Golf Club is making a habit of winning! On Friday 25 August 2017 she secured first prize at the Junior County Captain’s day at Lingdale Golf Club, scoring a magnificent 43 points. Congratulations to Eleanor on a terrific round of golf!
Fresh from that success she took part in the Midland North Regional Championship (held on Monday 28 August 2017) at Ruddington Grange GC. Playing in the 18-hole Challenge Trophy competition – playing girls from the six counties across this region - she was once again in the winner’s circle, scooping the trophies for the best gross score (87) and the best nett score (67). Eleanor played a whopping five shots under her handicap on a course that she had never played before.
Junior County Team Manager, Jane Horwood, said: “In her first season playing at Junior County level, Eleanor has certainly made a big impression. Her attitude to golf is first class, she has fun on the course and is undoubtedly a most talented player. Eleanor is one to watch in the years to come”
