The weather more or less stood us in good stead yesterday for an excellent days golfing at Lingdale.
Fourty four players from six counties joined us in the Queen of Clubs' challenge. The event was won by Olivia Kelly (19yrs) playing for Erewash Valley playing off a 2 handicap with a great Gross score of 73, she was followed by Sophie Johnson (16yrs) representing Wreakin GC with a score of 77 closley followed by Angela Roper of Spalding - Gross 79 on a back nine count from our own Imogen Huxley of Rutland County.
The best Nett was won by Anna Clark of Belton Park with a nett 72 closely followed by Georgia Ann Pritchard of Beau Desert with a nett 74. There were various prizes for best gross & nett on the front and back 9 which took a little working out!! Congratulations to all the Winners and especially our Midlands North Queen of Clubs Olivia Kelly.
Lingdale GC was a great venue and we could not have been made more welcome by the Lady Captain Di Jaggard and her team who were fully suported by the Club Manager Andy Mee.
Thanks to our refs Phil Askew and Graham Webb and to Jan Dorn & Jenny Peicha of Rothley Park who covered the registration desk and to Peggy Remington our Midlands North England Golf rep.
