A win for Lincolnshire but a fabulous result for Leicestershire as they pick up the 'Runners Up' Salver

COUNTY CAPTAIN REPORT

A great week for Ladies County golf in Leicestershire and Rutland.

To take 7 points out of a possible 10 and finish 2^nd to Lincolnshire who will be one of the favourites at the all England finals was a great achievement.

 We went into the week with the youngest County side for many years. Three of the youngsters were rookies, a reward for all the hard work, over recent years, the County have put into developing girls golf. 

 The team spirit was amazing and more than I could have hoped for and this got us through some very tight matches.

 A special mention must go to Caz Parkes-Walley, a very experienced and many times County Champion who led from the front in her singles matches to take 4.5 points out of a possible 5 and was clearly an inspiration to all her teammates in the squad.

 The experience the youngsters have gained this week has been invaluable and we will take this and our amazing team bond and spirit forward to future matches.

I am so proud of all my team it has been an amazing few day.

A big thanks go to all of the County Executive and helpers who have made this event run so smoothly and to Hinckley Golf Club who were fantastic hosts.
