A very successful day was had for the Martin AM AM which was held at Birstall Golf Club on Monday 13th July.  Everybody seemed to enjoy their games and were very pleased to be supporting Junior Girls’ Golf.

 

Many thanks to Lady President Peggy Remington and Helen Buckingham for helping on the day.

 

A huge thanks to Jo Shepherd, Club Manager at Birstall. Jo, the caterers and staff were very helpful as was Sandra Clark who did the starting for us.  

 

We ran a “Lucky Squares” card , the amount collected £150 less prizes £45 = £105. We also received a kind donation of £15so the total amount to be transferred to the Junior Girls fund =  £120. Thank you to everyone who entered.

And now to the result for the competition;

 

1st place Ann Bancroft, Sue Smith, Elaine Edwards & Fay Clegg (Hinckley ) - 98 points

2nd Place Moira Gilchrist, Jane Cooper, Claire Ashley, Kay Walster (Hinckley) 94 points

3rd Place Christine Bown, Heather Storey, Susan Hine, Christine Lewis (Ullesthorpe) 92 points
