We played our last game of the season against Lincolnshire at Belton Woods GC on Tuesday 26^th August.

We knew that we needed to win the match to go through to the 2^nd Team Finals. However, Lincolnshire were well prepared and had a very strong squad.

The morning foursomes matches were all closely fought. Barbara Suffolk and Chloe Edmonds lost 2 down. Next out were Lisa Porter and Ella Cunningham who finished All Square. Tracey Bates and Lucy Wheeler were also All Square after 18 holes. This left us 2-1 down at lunch, knowing that we needed 4 wins in the afternoon singles.

Both teams played some great golf, but the momentum was with Lincolnshire and they won the first 5 matches. Tracey Bates was our only winner in the singles and remained unbeaten for the day.

The result was a 7-2 victory to Lincolnshire, leaving us runners-up to Nottinghamshire who will go forward to play Staffordshire in the final at Longcliffe GC on Friday 5^th September.

Overall we have had a good summer with 2 fantastic victories, a lovely camaraderie in the team and great supporters. Ella Cunningham, Lucy Wheeler and Emily Wolverson have all made their 2^nd Team debut and been valuable members of the squad.
