The 2^nd Team got their season off to a great start in their opening match against Nottinghamshire at Hinckley yesterday.

The foursomes were very close with Rachel East & Tracey Bates finishing All Square after 18 holes. Lisa Porter & Chloe Edmonds put in a good performance and had a solid victory. Sally Jee & Beth Swain narrowly lost out 1 down, leaving the match level at lunch.

This meant that the outcome of the singles would settle the match. Lisa Porter led the way and came up against tough opposition eventually losing on the 16^th green. Chloe Edmonds put up a good fight but lost on the 17^th. Fortunately, Tracey Bates, Beth Swain, Sally Jee & Diana Miller all won their singles matches, giving Leicestershire & Rutland an overall victory of 5¹/₂ to 3¹/₂.

The matches were all played in a good spirit and Hinckley looked after us really well all day.
